Performance Long Range Observer
The advanced aerodynamic and The LRO benefits from an advanced modular and aerodynamic design:
1 LRO system = 2 UAVs for a quick transition between flights;
VTOL system: vertical take-off and landing allowing to operate in small areas;
Kevlar chassis: very light (6kg) and resistant;
Robust design: allows the drone to fly in degraded conditions;
Quick detachment design: the drone is very easy to assemble, disassemble and transport;
Large interior space: allows to carry payloads, batteries or other equipment
The latest updates make the LRO more intelligent and efficient in a surveillance or reconnaissance mission.modular conception of the LRO shows many benefits :
- 1 LRO system = 2 drones for operating fast transition and keeping a drone in the air permanently ;
- VTOL system : vertical take off and landing enables to operate in narrow areas ;
- Kevlar frame : very light (6kg) and durable frame ;
- Robust conception : allows the LRO to fly in degraded conditions ;
- Quick-release design : the drone is very easy to assemble, disassemble and transport ;
- Large internal space available : allows to carry batteries and several types of payloads such as a camera or equipment.
The lastest updates make the LRO even more intelligent and efficient during ISR missions.
As example, the LRO is able to take the optimal flight path during a pend and level off smoothly before entering the targeted area. The triple-redundant compass provides safety assurance and accurate orientation, which is best for missions that may encounter strong electromagnetic interference, such as in areas subject to interference or for power line inspection.
The VTOL engine and propeller steering lock design reduces wind resistance in fixed-wing mode, greatly increasing efficiency. In addition, the quick-release design makes the aircraft easy to assemble and convenient to transport.
For example, it is able to make the decision to take the optimal flight path during a turn and smoothly level off before entering the inspection area to take better readings.
The triple-redundant compass provides safety assurance and precise orientation, which is ideal for missions that may encounter strong electromagnetic interference, such as in areas subject to interference or for power line inspection.
